After 10 minutes, Chesney Talbot made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gloucester's John Langsford tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Chesney Talbot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Langsford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chesney Talbot in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Gloucester getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Steve Torpey hit a great ball. John Langsford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jake Dobby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rio Cawood during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, one of Gloucester:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gloucester. Glyn Naylor shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jake Dobby in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Langsford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Gloucester's goal looked a bit too open when Jake Dobby came free, but John Langsford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gloucester's Steve Torpey got a free kick in the 36th minute. Zane Nancy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Kelly in the 40th minute of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Chesney Talbot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gloucester's John Langsford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stevie Dunning struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Zane Nancy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gloucester. Neil Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zane Nancy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Chesney Talbot got free with John Langsford in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chesney Talbot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Langsford having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pogon Mogilno had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
