Spectators: 1690 (Terracing: 0, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when John-Paul Briggs took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Jamie Etherington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alistair Rundle fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bath FC's protests and gave Alistair Rundle a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ambleside City booed when Bath FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alistair Rundle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bath FC's zone, Jamie Etherington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Bayne came out of the goal and Jamie Etherington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24thth minute of the game John-Paul Briggs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bath FC's Sebastian Bayne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27 minutes Ambleside City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Danny Carey-Bertram who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Cliff Milligan got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 27 minutes into the match. Johnnie Straker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles Elliot in the 33rd minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Ambleside City got a freekick which was hit by Rich Argent. Danny Carey-Bertram, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bath FC's zone, Jamie Etherington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Bayne came out of the goal and Jamie Etherington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambleside City's Jamie Etherington got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Garry Shephard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bath FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ambleside City the free kick. Garry Shephard kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Ambleside City were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Bath FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ollie Branston took the corner. Ollie Branston made a great header on Ambleside City's corner, it was just that Bath FC's Sebastian Bayne managed to reach the ball for a save. After the first half Bath FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Keith Kemp was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Ambleside City defense, Miles Elliot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnnie Straker. The Ambleside City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnnie Straker should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute of the match Ollie Branston sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastian Bayne skillfully saved the ball. Sebastian Bayne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John-Paul Briggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John-Paul Briggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Bayne having to interfere. The audience was convinced that John-Paul Briggs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Bayne was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Bath FC's zone, Jamie Etherington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Bayne came out of the goal and Jamie Etherington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keith Kemp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnnie Straker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Johnnie Straker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith Kemp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bath FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
