The Londons Finest fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 17th minute, Liam Auckland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20thth minute of the game Simon Storry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rodley's Jeff Margarson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Seb Browning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Margarson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Seb Browning went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute, Wally Brooke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 30 minutes, Ruperto Elorri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Londons Finest's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Elorri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon Storry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 34 minutes into the game, one of Rodley:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Rodley getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Wally Brooke hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Ruperto Elorri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeff Margarson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jay Hassell made a kick off. If Simon Storry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Simon Storry came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Londons Finest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Storry couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Rodley's zone, Seb Browning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Margarson came out of the goal and Seb Browning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Storry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeff Margarson having to interfere. Seb Browning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jeff Margarson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeff Margarson was a little too slow when Simon Storry got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-8. Jeff Margarson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Storry's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. The audience was convinced that Simon Storry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeff Margarson was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 97th minute of the game. One of Londons Finest:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rodley:s goal.
