Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) Kenny Fields started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Kenny Fields blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeff Margarson having to make a save. 8 minutes into the match, Rodley's Jay Hassell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Russ Dunning narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lewis Woodhead in the 9th minute of play forced Rodley's goalkeeper Jeff Margarson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeff Margarson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis Woodhead in the 11th minute of play. Dave Renner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Russ Dunning made a huge save. Jeff Margarson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenny Fields, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Dave Renner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Russ Dunning made a huge save. Kenny Fields received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jeff Margarson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rodley booed when Run Escape FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Johnstone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Russ Dunning made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Dave Renner sent off a good shot on target. Souad Guendouz might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeff Margarson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Souad Guendouz ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Lewis Woodhead managed to get in a good position for a shot. Run Escape FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis Woodhead was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeff Margarson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jay Hassell made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Lewis Woodhead's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeff Margarson was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Rodley's Danny Percival got a free kick in the 55th minute. A collision led to Run Escape FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Graeme Ellerker hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rodley's zone, Lewis Woodhead stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Margarson came out of the goal and Lewis Woodhead tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Liam Auckland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenny Fields recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lewis Woodhead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenny Fields could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jeff Margarson made a huge save. Danny Percival's late challenge caught a Run Escape FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danny Percival helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Rodley got a freekick which was hit by Danny Percival. In the 77th minute Souad Guendouz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeff Margarson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kenny Fields fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeff Margarson having to interfere. Jeff Margarson came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Run Escape FC's Kenny Fields. But to his dismay, Kenny Fields quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kenny Fields's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeff Margarson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jeff Margarson was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Kenny Fields capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kenny Fields really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Kenny Fields recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Run Escape FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
