Elm Green Boys's Verne Easter was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 28th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Den Ward stood somewhat misplaced when Verne Easter came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 34 minute. Den Ward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verne Easter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Den Ward showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hüseyin Can Kurban in the 41st minute of the match. Tony Elding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antony Linkletter, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Ian Walsh struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Den Ward didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elm Green Boys. If Hüseyin Can Kurban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Verne Easter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Den Ward came out and tried to block the shot, but Verne Easter slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Verne Easter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, David Hird hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 minutes, Verne Easter made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kingswinford's Den Ward tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62ndth minute of the game Verne Easter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kingswinford's Den Ward was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Den Ward showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Walsh in the 66th minute of the match. Tony Elding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antony Linkletter, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Arkadiusz Cwojdak fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee showed Verne Easter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes Elm Green Boys got a freekick which was hit by Verne Easter. 97 minutes into the match, Elm Green Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Antony Linkletter came free, but Tony Elding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elm Green Boys walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
