Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wes Chandler kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Wes Chandler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skegness's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bourne AFC the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jason Findley got free with Ruben Norman in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddie Seaman during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Bourne AFC got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Seaman. In the 12th minute of the match Chris Carey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wally Gill showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Wes Chandler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wally Gill. Bourne AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wes Chandler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Freddie Seaman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bourne AFC's Alf Clement suffered a sore thigh after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Wes Chandler was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Skegness's Wes Chandler got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Skegness's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jason Findley fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jason Findleys short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Ruben Norman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 34 minutes of play, Skegness's Sly Storry made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wally Gill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sly Storry might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wally Gill. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sly Storry ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Bourne AFC's zone, Sly Storry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wally Gill came out of the goal and Sly Storry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Skegness's Sly Storry got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jason Findley to strike the kick off in the second half. Bourne AFC's Wally Gill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Howden in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Bourne AFC booed when Skegness was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sly Storry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronnie Lomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Gill having to interfere. If Sly Storry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jason Findley came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Bourne AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Findley couldn't finish the play. Sly Storry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Wally Gill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruben Norman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Findley, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ruben Norman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jason Findley in the 81st minute of the match. Piers Weston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Gill having to interfere. Sly Storry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sly Storry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Greg Pinder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Skegness's Sly Storry got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Skegness left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bourne AFC.
