Kurt Bannister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Kempson having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Biggleswade's goal looked a bit too open when Damion Fielden came free, but Ruben Kempson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tyler Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Corby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Corby in the 16th minute of play forced Godmanchester FC's goalkeeper Tyler Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Biggleswade's Rupert Corby got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Godmanchester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Corby came free, but Tyler Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Biggleswade's CJ Mann got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Godmanchester FC's Damion Fielden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruben Kempson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Damion Fielden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matty Sissons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 41st minute, Rupert Corby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Damion Fielden notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Biggleswade's Ruben Kempson. Ruben Kempson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rupert Corby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leigh Bennett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Damion Fielden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Damion Fielden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godmanchester FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damion Fielden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Matty Sissons took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Ruben Kempson to make any attempt to save it. When Rupert Corby came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Biggleswade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rupert Corby couldn't finish the play. If Rupert Corby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Kempson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matty Sissons, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Damion Fielden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Godmanchester FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Godmanchester FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
