Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rupert Corby took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Dunton Green got a freekick which was hit by Denis Bradbury. Gerry Knott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Kempson having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Biggleswade's goal looked a bit too open when Gerry Knott came free, but Ruben Kempson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billy Murray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leigh Bennett, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Rupert Corby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Murray having to interfere. Ruben Kempson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paddy Trusswell in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Dunton Green's goal looked a bit too open when Leigh Bennett came free, but Billy Murray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paddy Trusswell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ruben Kempson made a huge save. Paddy Trusswell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ruben Kempson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paddy Trusswell took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Kempson. Ruben Kempson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Louis Saunders managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunton Green's supporters rose to their feet, but Louis Saunders was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Kempson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerry Knott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leigh Bennett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerry Knott stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Denis Bradbury was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 53 played minutes Dunton Green got a freekick which was hit by Denis Bradbury. 58 minutes into the match, Leigh Bennett notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Dunton Green's Billy Murray. Billy Murray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Dunton Green's Billy Murray got control of the ball when Leigh Bennett tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute, Louis Saunders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Clark kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Paddy Trusswell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leigh Bennett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billy Murray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paddy Trusswell in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Kempson saved Biggleswade from getting behind. In the 88th match minute, Biggleswade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Hughes-Guy to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Billie Collier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Kempson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paddy Trusswell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dunton Green fully deserved thier win.
