Spike Mulligan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Howard Acton in the 31st minute of the match. Howard Acton in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Spike Mulligan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Howard Acton in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Spike Mulligan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Misfits's goalkeeper Beinn Buckley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, one of Misfits:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Andre Stone shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Sutton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Spike Mulligan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Howard Acton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes, Marty Welch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ramsey United and the Misfits players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marty Welch kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match.
