Spectators: 7351 (Terracing: 5514, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rod Whitworth kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Pontefract City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seth Hough to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute Glenn Bartlett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giles Blewett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zane Tyler was a little too slow when Rod Whitworth got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Rod Whitworth who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Zane Tyler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Pontefract City's Rod Whitworth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zane Tyler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rod Whitworth got free with Zane Tyler in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rod Whitworth in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zane Tyler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Rod Whitworth came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Pontefract City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rod Whitworth couldn't finish the play. After 36 minutes of play, Pontefract City's Tevfik Samet made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zane Tyler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Seth Hough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zane Tyler having to make a save. Rod Whitworth in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zane Tyler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 48th minute, Pontefract City's Seth Hough ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zane Tyler. Zane Tyler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54thth minute of the game Rod Whitworth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Heston AFC's Zane Tyler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rod Whitworth struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Zane Tyler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontefract City. When Pontefract City's Rod Whitworth in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Heston AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Zane Tyler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rod Whitworth's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Zane Tyler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Denham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pontefract City's Rod Whitworth in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Heston AFC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rod Whitworth in the 77th minute of play forced Heston AFC's goalkeeper Zane Tyler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Apolo Luzaide made a precise shot to the right of Zane Tyler. Heston AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Seth Hough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Zane Tyler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, John-Paul Jobson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rod Whitworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Rod Whitworth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zane Tyler was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Heston AFC defense, Seth Hough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zane Tyler. The Heston AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zane Tyler should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute, Apolo Luzaide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pontefract City's Marlon Breckin was substituted for Sean Sears. 93 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Pontefract City's Rod Whitworth fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Zane Tyler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seth Hough, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Heston AFC's Zane Tyler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Whitworth in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Pontefract City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
