In the 13th minute, Gaz Pollard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaz Pollard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frazer Birchall having to interfere. Stoke Poges AFC's Frazer Birchall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tristram Corbridge in the 17th minute of play. After 24 played minutes Partington City got a freekick which was hit by Nathan Taylor. Stoke Poges AFC's Phillip Ash got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mike Charlton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Barrett in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Felix Barrett made a precise shot to the right of Mike Charlton. Partington City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Phillip Ash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Partington City's Mike Charlton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Barrett in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Chaz Rice was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Partington City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stoke Poges AFC the free kick. After 46 played minutes Partington City got a freekick which was hit by Chaz Rice. In the 48th minute, Felix Barrett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tristram Corbridge to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristram Corbridge in the 57th minute of play forced Stoke Poges AFC's goalkeeper Frazer Birchall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Barrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Charlton having to interfere. Partington City's Mike Charlton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Ash in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Partington City's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Ash came free, but Mike Charlton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Felix Barrett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stoke Poges AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Felix Barrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Mike Charlton successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With his leg Mike Charlton managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Stoke Poges AFC's Felix Barrett fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. During the 86th minute of the match Chaz Rice completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Chaz Rice a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Chaz Rice kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Felix Barrett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sammy Stewart kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Phillip Ash came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Stoke Poges AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phillip Ash couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Partington City's Mike Charlton got control of the ball when Felix Barrett tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Stoke Poges AFC booed when Partington City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Oatway didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stoke Poges AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
