In the 5th minute, John Buckler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 黄鹰 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Duff in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Malcolm Pollard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. 黄鹰 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute Don Warburton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 黄鹰 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Craig Maclean lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Ashley Hitchen. Ashley Hitchen came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Hedge End's Bernhardt Mathar. But to his dismay, Bernhardt Mathar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When %teams%'s Craig Maclean was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 3-1 just inside the left pole, 24 minutes into the game. Ashley Hitchen was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Craig Maclean in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ashley Hitchen saved Whitworth from getting behind. When Jerry Elwick fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hedge End's protests and gave Jerry Elwick a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hedge End's Jerry Elwick got a free kick in the 30th minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Malcolm Pollard put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of 黄鹰. 35 minutes into the match, Bernhardt Mathar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ashley Hitchen, 4-2. Ashley Hitchen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Maclean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dale Hurdle hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Hedge End defense, Malcolm Pollard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 黄鹰. The Hedge End fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 黄鹰 should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Whitworth's zone, Mark Pearce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ashley Hitchen came out of the goal and Mark Pearce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Craig Maclean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ashley Hitchen was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-3 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Craig Maclean to strike the kick off in the second half. Hedge End's 黄鹰 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Hedge End from getting a goal against them. Jerry Elwick was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Jerry Elwick kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Craig Maclean in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ashley Hitchen saved Whitworth from getting behind. Bernhardt Mathar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Craig Maclean in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ashley Hitchen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Craig Maclean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ashley Hitchen was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Hedge End's 黄鹰 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Hedge End from getting a goal against them. Hedge End's Craig Maclean got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Whitworth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastien Gallagher to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Garry Duff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Craig Maclean in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ashley Hitchen saved Whitworth from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Craig Maclean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ashley Hitchen was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Ashley Hitchen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Buckler in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Hedge End's Craig Maclean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ashley Hitchen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Camron Milburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ashley Hitchen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Craig Maclean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malcolm Pollard succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-4 in the 95th playminute. Despite being the better team, Hedge End failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
