Syd Birch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin Metcalf having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barrie Crichton in the 20th minute of play forced Streetwise Fc's goalkeeper Clive Batty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clive Batty didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barrie Crichton went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Geoff Kirk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Quentin Metcalf. The goal made the score 1-2. Gerry Dwyer kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Brian Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Quentin Metcalf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Gerry Dwyer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ebley's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerry Dwyer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clive Batty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute Barrie Crichton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Batty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Owen Humphreys hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Barrie Crichton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clive Batty having to make a save. A collision led to Streetwise Fc getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dale Laurie hit a great ball. The Streetwise Fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ebley were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Neil Langdon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Ebley got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Dwyer. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ebley's Barrie Crichton in the 58th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Clive Batty was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Streetwise Fc through an amazing save. In the 61st minute Geoff Kirk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quentin Metcalf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Syd Birch struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Quentin Metcalf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Streetwise Fc. In the 68th minute Geoff Kirk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quentin Metcalf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute Barrie Crichton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Batty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geoff Kirk helped the player get up and apologised. Geoff Kirk kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Quentin Metcalf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Hewitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
