Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martin Krief started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Frankie Rawson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Krief received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Victor Hamilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Martin Krief shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Hamilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Isleworth's Rick Bullock got a free kick in the 14th minute. Victor Hamilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivor Ward, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roy Carsley kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Grant Hind fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Banks having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Isleworth's Rick Bullock got a free kick in the 38th minute. With a little luck, Isleworth's Kristian Banks got control of the ball when Roy Carsley tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Grant Hind stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivor Ward might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Hamilton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivor Ward ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th match minute, Stockbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Kendall to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Isleworth booed when Stockbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Rowland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristian Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Hind in the 78th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Stockbridge's Denzil Broadbent seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Denzil Broadbent the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stockbridge protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Denzil Broadbent had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
