Gavin Metcalf was a little too slow when Alastair Shephard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 13thth minute of the game Lee Eldridge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szalone Kurczaki's Marty Holbrook was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 21 in the game by Sammy Wright from a close distance when the talented Gavin Metcalf managed to make a qualified save. Cleethorpes AFC's players were relieved. Gavin Metcalf made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Sammy Wright sent off a good shot on target. Pierre Naisbitt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marty Holbrook having to make a save. When Alastair Shephard came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Szalone Kurczaki fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alastair Shephard couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Cleethorpes AFC's Gavin Metcalf got control of the ball when Sammy Wright tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cleethorpes AFC's zone, Don Gibbs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavin Metcalf came out of the goal and Don Gibbs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 34 played minutes Cleethorpes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Norman Kingston. 42 minutes into the match, Cleethorpes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Wright came free, but Gavin Metcalf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sammy Wright to make the kick off. Gavin Metcalf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alastair Shephard in the 52nd minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Cleethorpes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Naisbitt. In the 60th minute, Sammy Wright ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavin Metcalf was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cleethorpes AFC's zone, Rory Easton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavin Metcalf came out of the goal and Rory Easton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavin Metcalf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Wright, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 83 minutes of play, Szalone Kurczaki's Sammy Wright made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavin Metcalf was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Don Gibbs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szalone Kurczaki fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. A collision led to Cleethorpes AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Sean Eglington hit a great ball. Gavin Metcalf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phil Bullock in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rdth minute of the game Sammy Wright who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cleethorpes AFC's Gavin Metcalf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cleethorpes AFC's Norman Kingston got a free kick in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Szalone Kurczaki fully deserved thier win.
