Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fraser Downes kicked off to start the match. Aaron Blythe struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Marek Lincoln didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lillington FC. Marek Lincoln showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ozzy Folan in the 8th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Dedham got a freekick which was hit by Pete Marenghi. After a rather tough play, Lillington FC's Stan Mason got a free kick in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Dedham's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Blythe came free, but Marek Lincoln reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lillington FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aaron Blythe in the 17th minute. At last the ball reached Graeme Rowe at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Dedham. 0-1. Aaron Blythe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kirk Gibson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cliff North firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 36 minutes of play, Lillington FC's Ozzy Folan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marek Lincoln was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Marek Lincoln was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aaron Blythe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Kirk Gibson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dedham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirk Gibson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 60 minutes, Trevor Davies mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lillington FC and the Dedham players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dedham booed when Lillington FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trevor Davies didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fraser Downes during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fraser Downes hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Dedham's Gus Plumber got a free kick in the 74th minute. Lillington FC's Aaron Blythe couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dedham. Marek Lincoln made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Blythe in the 77th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Trevor Davies got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 minutes of play, Lillington FC's Ozzy Folan made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marek Lincoln was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aaron Blythe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Lincoln having to interfere. Trevor Davies sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kirk Gibson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Kirk Gibson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dedham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirk Gibson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trevor Davies was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lillington FC played a much better game than Dedham and deserved their victory. The Dedham players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
