Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frazer Drury started the match with the kick off. If Frazer Drury had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. lönJÜ-yare's Karl Bolton got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gordon Nicholson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fraser Prior's late challenge caught a Attleborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fraser Prior helped the player get up and apologised. Attleborough's attack was well implemented in the 25th minute, but when Gordon Nicholson was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Attleborough's Nath Hurren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frazer Drury in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, lönJÜ-yare's Fraser Prior got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 29 played minutes, Attleborough's Gerry Wilkins shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dane Daly came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Attleborough reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Wally Senior managed to get in a good position for a shot. Attleborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Wally Senior was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dane Daly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Karl Bolton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frazer Drury got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Nath Hurren handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Wally Senior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wally Senior to make the kick off. Dane Daly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wally Senior, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Attleborough's goal looked a bit too open when Frazer Drury came free, but Nath Hurren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Gordon Nicholson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dane Daly. lönJÜ-yare's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gordon Nicholson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Attleborough's Colin Dunlop got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 65th minute, Karl Bolton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nath Hurren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frazer Drury in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Attleborough's goal looked a bit too open when Frazer Drury came free, but Nath Hurren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Frank Edgson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerry Wilkins, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. lönJÜ-yare's Dane Daly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wally Senior in the 85th minute of play. Wally Senior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dane Daly having to interfere. Karl Bolton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nath Hurren having to interfere. Frazer Drury's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nath Hurren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
