With a little luck, Hammersmith's Rowan Faith got control of the ball when Dominic Crouch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Aaron Sissons managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammersmith's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Sissons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piers Swallow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aaron Sissons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hammersmith's Aaron Sissons got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aaron Sissons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers Swallow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jools Dalby in the 44th minute of play. If Larry Little had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. 55 minutes into the game, Will Dodd was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hammersmith's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United the free kick. Rowan Faith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Hutchings, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Ritchie Bartlett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Piers Swallow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jools Dalby in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute Carl Hutchings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowan Faith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Doug Nicoll hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jools Dalby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Swallow having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Pat Button mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester United and the Hammersmith players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Pat Button. After having played for 83 minutes, Aaron Sissons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammersmith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Sissons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Piers Swallow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jools Dalby in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, Hammersmith's Caleb Kinsey got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 93rd play minute Jools Dalby came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Piers Swallow. 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hammersmith walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
