To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Bromsgrove got a freekick which was hit by Owen Barfield. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Liverpool's goalkeeper Frankie Rockett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Darius Blake mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Liverpool and the Bromsgrove players grew even worse after the yellow card. Liverpool's supporters crossed their fingers, but Byron Gardner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Callum Platt lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Frankie Rockett. Gwyn Kearney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Frankie Rockett made a huge save. Bromsgrove's Gwyn Kearney got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Callum Platt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Rockett having to interfere. If Callum Platt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Bromsgrove could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than F.C. Liverpool throughout the match.
