Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tynemouth Spartans FC's Benjani Mwaruwari started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Vincent Peake managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whittlesey City's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent Peake was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stuart Featherstone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Len Cuss received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stuart Featherstone came out and tried to block the shot, but Len Cuss slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Stuart Featherstone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Younger in the 8th minute. Pedro Lowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Les Bell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Benjani Mwaruwari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, Whittlesey City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Peake to maneuver through the defense. Les Bell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pedro Lowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Lowe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjani Mwaruwari's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Pedro Lowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjani Mwaruwari in the 24th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes, Tynemouth Spartans FC's Leon Renwick shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Lowe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tynemouth Spartans FC reached it. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Whittlesey City! 32 minutes into the match, Tynemouth Spartans FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Younger came free, but Stuart Featherstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Tynemouth Spartans FC's Les Bell made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Lowe was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jeffrey Merchant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tynemouth Spartans FC's Stuart Featherstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luke Philpott in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Whittlesey City's goal looked a bit too open when Benjani Mwaruwari came free, but Pedro Lowe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Tynemouth Spartans FC's Stuart Featherstone got control of the ball when Dave Younger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stuart Featherstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke Philpott in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luke Philpott was the one to do the kick off. Len Cuss succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Damian Rose charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damian Rose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Tynemouth Spartans FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Rose to maneuver through the defense. Stuart Featherstone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Peake in the 57th minute of play. Richard Osmond charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. One of Whittlesey City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tynemouth Spartans FC:s goal. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Tynemouth Spartans FC. Les Bell stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedro Lowe. 2-3. Jerry Best made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tynemouth Spartans FC's Damian Rose. Tynemouth Spartans FC's Benjani Mwaruwari was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 71st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Vincent Peake had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stuart Featherstone. Tynemouth Spartans FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vincent Peake was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. In the 81st minute, Dave Younger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Lowe was a little too slow when Jeffrey Merchant got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 3-6. Damian Rose hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Les Bell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Lowe. That made the score 3-7 in the 90 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tynemouth Spartans FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
