Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jerome Fry took the kick off in the first half of the match. STAR FC's Glen Beckwith got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Verne Woodyat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sonny Challis took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Prince. Denis Prince dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Weaverham's Dom Elliott got a free kick in the 20th minute. Loyd Pinder struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Denis Prince didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STAR FC. Darius Husband's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denis Prince read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Loyd Pinder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Prince having to interfere. Verne Woodyat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Prince took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jake Bromley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Sonny Challis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Glen Beckwith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Denis Prince tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Matthew Ashton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STAR FC and the Weaverham players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, STAR FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Ashton to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes STAR FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastien Robinson. A hard shot by Matt Forrest from long distance, 49 minutes into the match, got Kurt Beckman's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The Weaverham players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. STAR FC were winning 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jake Bromley was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Loyd Pinder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STAR FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loyd Pinder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Fry in the 56th minute of play forced STAR FC's goalkeeper Kurt Beckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glen Beckwith's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Denis Prince skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Loyd Pinder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darius Husband blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Prince having to make a save. Denis Prince made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Sonny Challis sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Weaverham getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Thomas North hit a great ball. Jake Bromley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Prince having to make a save. Denis Prince made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darius Husband in the 75th minute of play. Loyd Pinder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Prince having to interfere. If Glen Beckwith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Prince was a little too slow when Glen Beckwith got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Loyd Pinder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Prince having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Husband in the 92nd minute of play forced Weaverham's goalkeeper Denis Prince to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Weaverham getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Thomas North hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded STAR FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Weaverham.
