Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Spike Dumpleton started the match with the kick off. Sutton on Sea's Edward Baum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spike Dumpleton in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Sutton on Sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daryl Weatherhead to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 11 minutes, Les Pennant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seaton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Les Pennant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Seaton's Ronnie Goodwick got a free kick in the 18th minute. Justin Blair hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Sutton on Sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Mitchell-King to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Andrew McAleer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Gray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Gray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew McAleer in the 30th minute of the match. If Bill Bullard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justin Blair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Isaac Gray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Sutton on Sea's Justin Blair sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaac Gray narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eric Barnett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Edward Baum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Edward Baum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spike Dumpleton, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Seaton's goalkeeper Isaac Gray had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justin Blair. In the 60th match minute, Seaton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bill Bullard to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Eric Barnett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Baum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sutton on Sea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Neil Stayton in the 70th minute. Justin Blair could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Isaac Gray made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Seaton's Bill Bullard got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Andrew McAleer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Seaton getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jason Malpeli hit a great ball. Edward Baum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spike Dumpleton in the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sutton on Sea's Daryl Weatherhead got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Seaton were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
