Spectators: 7424 (Terracing: 5569, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jez Wooding kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jez Wooding in the 3rd minute of play forced Seaton's goalkeeper Isaac Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Seaton's zone, Ken Hird stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Gray came out of the goal and Ken Hird tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Branch's late challenge caught a Angelicas Secret Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Branch helped the player get up and apologised. Angelicas Secret Club's Jez Wooding got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Les Pennant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil Ellison having to interfere. Todd Kitchen hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Les Pennant in the 15th minute of play forced Angelicas Secret Club's goalkeeper Phil Ellison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ken Hird could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Isaac Gray made a huge save. Jez Wooding recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Spike Dumpleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Angelicas Secret Club's goal looked a bit too open when Les Pennant came free, but Phil Ellison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Les Pennant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phil Ellison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Spike Dumpleton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seaton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Spike Dumpleton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Les Pennant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spike Dumpleton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phil Ellison having to make a save. Angelicas Secret Club's Phil Ellison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Les Pennant in the 41st minute of play. Ken Hird received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Isaac Gray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, one of Seaton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Les Pennant stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ken Hird sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Seaton's Christopher Westlake got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Les Pennant in the 70th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Phil Ellison kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Bill Bullard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Les Pennant got free with Phil Ellison in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Les Pennant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
