Dan Jones made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Barcelona's Jo Lambert. The audience was convinced that Briarios Giannacopulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Gilchrist was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Kristopher Connor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rich Woodford struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Adam Gilchrist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona. After 18 played minutes Tenterden FC got a freekick which was hit by Cody Stevens. Dan Jones's late challenge caught a FC Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Jones helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when Tenterden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Jones didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Kristopher Connor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Kristopher Connor notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Barcelona's Aaron Smed. Aaron Smed was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute of the game Cody Stevens made a throw-in which Kristopher Connor played forward. FC Barcelona's Aaron Smed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Domala in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute Rich Woodford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Gilchrist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Domala came free, but Aaron Smed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rich Woodford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Adam Gilchrist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Tenterden FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lluis Alfaro made a kick off. If Kristopher Connor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Briarios Giannacopulos scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adam Gilchrist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dan Jones kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Gwyn Stockton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristopher Connor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Smed having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Lluis Alfaro came free, but Aaron Smed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Smed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lluis Alfaro in the 76th minute of play. Jonathon Houlahan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gwyn Stockton hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Adam Gilchrist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Briarios Giannacopulos's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. When Briarios Giannacopulos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 88 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adam Gilchrist was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Czeslaw Domala recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aaron Smed. Czeslaw Domala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 94th minute Lluis Alfaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Smed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC Barcelona supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tenterden FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tenterden FC.
