Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) Tod Horseman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Ashton having to interfere. North Baddesley City's Pat Ashton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Markham in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Darryl Markham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Ashton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pat Ashton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darryl Markham showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Pat Ashton came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by New Milton's Darryl Markham. But to his dismay, Darryl Markham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Tod Horseman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 36th minute Darryl Markham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Ashton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darryl Markham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pat Ashton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sean Branch to make the kick off. Pat Ashton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Markham's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Darryl Markham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. New Milton's Ruben Boothroyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Branch in the 71st minute of play. Darryl Markham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Pat Ashton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sean Branch hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Pat Ashton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Horseman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Darryl Markham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martyn Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Pat Ashton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sean Branch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sean Branch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. New Milton had played much better football throughout.
