Geoff Hird didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Modrani bocani. In the 28th minute, Neil Ferrell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oscar Dumpleton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dan Newton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoff Hird having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cliff Freeman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Dan Newton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geoff Hird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Twickenham City's Geoff Hird played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Newton in the 53rd minute of play. Geoff Hird took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Newton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rod Buckle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cliff Freeman in the 61st minute of play forced Modrani bocani's goalkeeper Oscar Dumpleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Modrani bocani getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Blair Cummins hit a great ball. In the 66th match minute, Twickenham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cliff Freeman to maneuver through the defense. Geoff Hird showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Newton, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Oscar Dumpleton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neil Ferrell went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Oscar Dumpleton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Ferrell in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Newton in the 96th minute of play forced Twickenham City's goalkeeper Geoff Hird to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Twickenham City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
