Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chris Lincoln got the match started through his kick off. When John-Paul Wheeler came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Melton Mowbray FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John-Paul Wheeler couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute Michael Abbotts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Hutchins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Hutchins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Abbotts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeo Hutchins made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Chris Lincoln sent off a good shot on target. Eddy Rowland took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romeo Hutchins. Melton Mowbray FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Melton Mowbray FC's Romeo Hutchins got control of the ball when Chris Lincoln tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Hutchins came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Whitehouse Park FC's Chris Lincoln. But to his dismay, Chris Lincoln quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brynn Dowdall during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Melton Mowbray FC got a freekick which was hit by Brynn Dowdall. With a little luck, Melton Mowbray FC's Romeo Hutchins got control of the ball when Chris Lincoln tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Hutchins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Abbotts in the 25th minute of play. Romeo Hutchins made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Chris Lincoln sent off a good shot on target. Melton Mowbray FC's Romeo Hutchins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Abbotts in the 27th minute of play. Melton Mowbray FC's Romeo Hutchins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Melton Mowbray FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Abbotts in the 35th minute of play forced Melton Mowbray FC's goalkeeper Romeo Hutchins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Hutchins made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Chris Lincoln sent off a good shot on target. If Jonny Stone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Melton Mowbray FC booed when Whitehouse Park FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Nicholson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregory Granger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Hutchins having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Whitehouse Park FC's Chris Lincoln ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Romeo Hutchins. Romeo Hutchins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John-Paul Wheeler made a kick off. Romeo Hutchins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Abbotts in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Chris Lincoln ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeo Hutchins was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some careless play in the Melton Mowbray FC defense, Chris Lincoln kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Hutchins. The Melton Mowbray FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Hutchins should have stopped the shot. In the 61st minute John-Paul Wheeler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Clarkson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Hutchins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Lincoln, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Trevor Clarkson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John-Paul Wheeler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute of the match Lawrence Phippard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trevor Clarkson skillfully saved the ball. Romeo Hutchins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Abbotts in the 74th minute of the match. Melton Mowbray FC's Romeo Hutchins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Lincoln in the 75th minute of play. Romeo Hutchins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Abbotts, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Seth Kerfoot hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Melton Mowbray FC defense, Chris Lincoln kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Hutchins. The Melton Mowbray FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Hutchins should have stopped the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Jonny Stone notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Whitehouse Park FC's Trevor Clarkson. Trevor Clarkson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Melton Mowbray FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Whitehouse Park FC.
