Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gregory Slater made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray F.K.'s Alfred Mulligan got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute Adrian King shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ged Bedford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ged Bedford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian King, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Peacock's late challenge caught a Stevenage's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Peacock helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Galatasaray F.K. got a freekick which was hit by Christian Peacock. Adrian King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ged Bedford having to interfere. Gregory Slater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ged Bedford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tris Forrest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crispin Stockley having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tris Forrest in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Crispin Stockley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 32 minutes, Gregory Slater managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stevenage's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregory Slater was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gregory Slater came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Stevenage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregory Slater couldn't finish the play. Tris Forrest struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Crispin Stockley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray F.K.. Crispin Stockley made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Rex Slator sent off a good shot on target. Gregory Slater recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rex Slator could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Crispin Stockley made a huge save. 47 minutes into the game, Rex Slator cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Crispin Stockley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tris Forrest to strike the kick off in the second half. If Adrian King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, one of Galatasaray F.K.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galatasaray F.K.. If Adrian King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rex Slator in the 65th minute of play forced Stevenage's goalkeeper Crispin Stockley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
