The referee ignored Brooklyn Bridge FC's protests and gave Denis Barber a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn Bridge FC's Denis Barber got a free kick in the 4th minute. Kev Bridgeman, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gwyn Horseman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Garth Land tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brooklyn Bridge FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Gwyn Horseman scored to the left of an out of position Garth Land, making the score, 1-0. After 24 minutes of play, Brooklyn Bridge FC's Seth Bridgeworth made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Clarkson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Seth Bridgeworth charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seth Bridgeworth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Brooklyn Bridge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seth Bridgeworth to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn Bridge FC's Nial Apsden got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gwyn Horseman struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Garth Land didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bulkington. Garth Land made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darius Longstaff in the 33rd minute. Kevin Clarkson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paddy Hamilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Brooklyn Bridge FC got a freekick which was hit by Nial Apsden. Fraser Lampard hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After having played for 54 minutes, Gwyn Horseman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bulkington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwyn Horseman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seth Bridgeworth took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Clarkson. Kevin Clarkson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Paddy Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Darius Longstaff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes Paddy Hamilton rounded Bulkington's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Kevin Clarkson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nial Apsden in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn Bridge FC's Byron Wardman got a free kick in the 89th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Brooklyn Bridge FC's Paddy Hamilton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Clarkson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Brooklyn Bridge FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Nial Apsden hit a great ball. Gwyn Horseman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
