Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dylon Fleetwood made the kick off which started today's match. With 3 minutes on the clock, Franz Walters commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Ockendon Courts:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Swinton Crucaders:s goal. Chesney Winship took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ian Burkinshaw. Ian Burkinshaw dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chesney Winship got free with Ian Burkinshaw in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, Jeffrey Butler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nial Barton. Ockendon Courts's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeffrey Butler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ian Burkinshaw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trey Gale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Grant Frizzell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swinton Crucaders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant Frizzell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nial Barton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Frizzell in the 33rd minute of play. Nial Barton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Frizzell in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Swinton Crucaders got a corner. Ockendon Courts's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dean Cusack ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Grant Frizzell heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Swinton Crucaders's Ian Burkinshaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chesney Winship in the 38th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Ockendon Courts's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Frizzell came free, but Nial Barton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes, Swinton Crucaders's Dean Cusack shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nial Barton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Swinton Crucaders reached it. After 47 minutes of play, Ockendon Courts's Don Charie made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ian Burkinshaw was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeffrey Butler made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Swinton Crucaders's Jeffrey Butler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nial Barton. That made the score 3-3 after 60 minutes of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Trey Gale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Swinton Crucaders's Ian Burkinshaw was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nial Barton made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Grant Frizzell sent off a good shot on target. Nial Barton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeffrey Butler in the 72nd minute of the match. Ian Burkinshaw stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chesney Winship's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Ockendon Courts's Chesney Winship got a free kick in the 77th minute. Nial Barton made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Grant Frizzell sent off a good shot on target. If Jeffrey Butler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeffrey Butler in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nial Barton saved Ockendon Courts from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Don Charie during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 played minutes Ockendon Courts got a freekick which was hit by Don Charie. Ian Burkinshaw came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Ockendon Courts's Chesney Winship. But to his dismay, Chesney Winship quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. 97 minutes into the match, Trey Gale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ian Burkinshaw. Swinton Crucaders's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trey Gale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ockendon Courts fans cheered their team off the field, for while Swinton Crucaders had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
