Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ralf Plant kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Cody Elliot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliver Forbes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 11 minutes into the game, Brandon Spears was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kendal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kennington the free kick. In the 11th minute, Brandon Spears hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Moxon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Mike Farrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Kennington getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. James Brodie hit a great ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Samuel Moxon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kendal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Moxon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute Ralf Plant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Farrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralf Plant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Mike Farrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeff Beerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Kendal FC got a freekick which was hit by Simeon Newman. In the 34th minute Jeff Beerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Forbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Kendal FC's goalkeeper Oliver Forbes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cody Elliot. After a rather tough play, Kendal FC's Michael Horsell got a free kick in the 48th minute. In the 49th minute, Clive Weatherhead sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kendal FC's Oliver Forbes didn't even have to move. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Cody Elliot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 67th minute of the match Brandon Spears completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Brandon Spears a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Kendal FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Brandon Spears hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Horsell during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Michael Horsell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Beerman in the 72nd minute of play forced Kendal FC's goalkeeper Oliver Forbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jeff Beerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kendal FC's Michael Horsell got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cody Elliot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Kendal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeff Beerman came free, but Oliver Forbes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 played minutes Kendal FC got a freekick which was hit by Michael Horsell. Oliver Forbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Beerman in the 96th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cody Elliot in the 98th minute of play forced Kendal FC's goalkeeper Oliver Forbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kendal FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
