Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Crispin Seward started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Earl Shilton AFC defense, Niall Donnelly kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Scott Croxford. The Earl Shilton AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Scott Croxford should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Edmonton Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Crispin Seward came free, but Callum Pitman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Norman Schofield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Scott Croxford was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luis-Antonio Speed hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Callum Pitman made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Damian Lightfoot sent off a good shot on target. Earl Shilton AFC's Damian Lightfoot got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Callum Pitman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Lightfoot in the 23rd minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Roy Rothwell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Earl Shilton AFC's Scott Croxford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 26 minutes, Roy Rothwell made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Earl Shilton AFC's Scott Croxford tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Rothwell in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Scott Croxford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norman Schofield charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norman Schofield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Edmonton Rangers getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Norman Schofield hit a great ball. Roy Rothwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Scott Croxford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niall Donnelly in the 42nd minute of play. Callum Pitman made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Damian Lightfoot sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Roy Rothwell made the kick off in the second half. Scott Croxford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niall Donnelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmonton Rangers's Niall Donnelly slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Scott Croxford. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. When Roy Rothwell came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Edmonton Rangers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Rothwell couldn't finish the play. Scott Croxford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roy Rothwell in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crispin Seward in the 62nd minute of play forced Edmonton Rangers's goalkeeper Callum Pitman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Keane kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Scott Croxford made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Roy Rothwell sent off a good shot on target. In the 69thth minute of the game Roy Rothwell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Earl Shilton AFC's Scott Croxford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crispin Seward in the 79th minute of play forced Edmonton Rangers's goalkeeper Callum Pitman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Earl Shilton AFC's Crispin Seward nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Callum Pitman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Scott Croxford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis-Antonio Speed, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Barrie Hamilton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Callum Pitman. Edmonton Rangers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Edmonton Rangers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Earl Shilton AFC.
