Totley United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mike Izzard 27 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Alistair Keyworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Barney Wring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Glenn Borrowdale successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 47 played minutes Bristol Black Horse FC got a freekick which was hit by Den Fairs. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Alistair Keyworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Totley United's supporters rose to their feet, but Alistair Keyworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barney Wring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mike Izzard was the one to do the kick off. Glenn Borrowdale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Izzard in the 52nd minute of play. Bristol Black Horse FC's Barney Wring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jake Cornish in the 55th minute of play. Totley United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jake Cornish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Glenn Borrowdale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Izzard, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Glyn Browning was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Totley United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bristol Black Horse FC the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Totley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glyn Browning to maneuver through the defense. Bristol Black Horse FC's Barney Wring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jake Cornish in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Jake Cornish tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Barney Wring saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Totley United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
