In the 45th minute Kevin Newby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradley Ablethorpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bradley Ablethorpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis Pearch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daryl Shepherd was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Jay Story-Moore put in a rough tackle. Mick Rundle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petras Stravinskas went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 3-Lions FC's Bradley Ablethorpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Newby in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, 3-Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Pearch came free, but Bradley Ablethorpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, ROOVA's Lei Zheng Sha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. 3-Lions FC's Freddie Ström was substituted for Daryl Shepherd. Ben Swanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mick Rundle having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Stew Rayner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mick Rundle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 3-Lions FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
