ROOVA's Mick Rundle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirk Horn in the 22nd minute of play. In the 31st minute Patrick Shuttleworth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mick Rundle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Louis Pearch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ROOVA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steven Creighton to make the kick off. A collision led to F.C. Barcelona getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Olly Hanley hit a great ball. Kevin Newby struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. George Milburn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROOVA. Saadettin Yağızkurt scored 4-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Milburn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ROOVA fully deserved thier win.
