With his leg Vinnie Senior managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Worcester Park AFC's Jeff Dalby fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jeff Dalby could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Vinnie Senior made a huge save. Vinnie Senior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwyn Hamilton in the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Nantwich's Vinnie Senior got control of the ball when Jeff Dalby tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lennie Harper took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronnie Beckett. Ronnie Beckett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Jeff Dalby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Gwyn Hamilton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vinnie Senior, 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwyn Hamilton made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Gwyn Hamilton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinnie Senior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronnie Beckett made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Lennie Harper sent off a good shot on target. After 57 minutes, Ray Rose mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Worcester Park AFC and the Nantwich players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Worcester Park AFC's Ray Rose got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 76th minute Gwyn Hamilton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinnie Senior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronnie Beckett didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Nantwich's Marlon Foggarty shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lennie Harper got free with Ronnie Beckett in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vinnie Gunn kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Worcester Park AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nantwich's performance. The match ended with a win for Nantwich.
