Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dom Harrington kicked off to start the match. Den Oldham hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Epic United F.C's Garth Palmer got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Robin Hook sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Epic United F.C's Charles Lightfoot didn't even have to move. In the 12th minute of the match Sacha Pool shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charles Lightfoot showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Blair Cryer hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The supporters of Epic United F.C booed when Hockley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blair Cryer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terry Leighton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Lightfoot having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Epic United F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Street to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Hockley booed when Epic United F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bobby Bakewell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Hockley's Robin Hook tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terry Leighton in the 32nd minute of play forced Epic United F.C's goalkeeper Charles Lightfoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Dom Harrington rounded Hockley's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Joel Gamble stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dom Harrington's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Will Street shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Gamble showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 59 minutes, Luke Cornforth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hockley and the Epic United F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Luke Cornforth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gamble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Harrington in the 61st minute of the match. Julian Caine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Joel Gamble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dom Harrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Lightfoot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ben Haxby in the 74th minute. Ben Haxby could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Charles Lightfoot made a huge save. Ben Haxby struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Charles Lightfoot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hockley. After 88 played minutes Epic United F.C got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Liddle. If Dom Harrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hockley's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dominic Liddle was slow to take the kick. During this time Epic United F.C's players had a chance to rest. Epic United F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
