Eric Lennon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dylon Davey, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Eric Lennon made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Nicholas Higgins sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute, Russell Banks made a precise shot to the right of Andy Riley. Brighouse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thrillaz Hotspurs FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Dylon Davey scored to the left of an out of position Eric Lennon, making the score, 1-1. Martyn Thompson might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andy Riley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martyn Thompson ran back to his position shaking his head. Andy Riley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stew Leadbeater in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Martyn Thompson notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Brighouse's Andy Riley. Andy Riley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Martyn Thompson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thrillaz Hotspurs FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martyn Thompson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andy Riley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andy Riley came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Thrillaz Hotspurs FC's Martyn Thompson. But to his dismay, Martyn Thompson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After having played for 35 minutes, Martyn Thompson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thrillaz Hotspurs FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martyn Thompson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Phil Newman made a precise shot to the right of Andy Riley. Brighouse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Eric Lennon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylon Davey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicholas Higgins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Thrillaz Hotspurs FC were leading 2-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martyn Thompson to make the kick off. Andy Riley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martyn Thompson went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. Thrillaz Hotspurs FC made a substitution. Will Bye replaced Nial Woodhead. Martyn Thompson hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Andy Riley successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Thrillaz Hotspurs FC fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Thrillaz Hotspurs FC's Martyn Thompson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 73rd match minute, Brighouse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denzil Scholes to maneuver through the defense. When Will Bye came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Thrillaz Hotspurs FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Will Bye couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Russell Banks took a quick shot and it went in 2-10 without a chance for Andy Riley to make any attempt to save it. In the 92nd minute of the match Joaquim Aguado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andy Riley skillfully saved the ball. The Brighouse fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Thrillaz Hotspurs FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
