Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jack Beard got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Iain Cadwallader left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chelsea F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ed Sharpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Burrows in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Vernon Gildea made a precise shot to the right of Ed Sharpe. Chelsea F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Rodney Jobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Booker having to interfere. Frank Booker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iain Cadwallader, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vernon Gildea hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes Garth Talbot rounded Chelsea F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Jack Beard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iain Cadwallader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ross Myers's late challenge caught a Chelsea F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ross Myers helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Latchingdon FC's Ross Myers got a free kick in the 38th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Rodney Jobson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodney Jobson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Jack Beard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Booker was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 42nd minute, Damian Tubbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodney Jobson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Iain Cadwallader came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Chelsea F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iain Cadwallader couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Chelsea F.C. booed when Latchingdon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luke Grainger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Johnny Burrows made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Iain Cadwallader fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Iain Cadwallader kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frank Booker. That made the score 2-3 in the 54 minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, Chelsea F.C.'s Iain Cadwallader made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Booker was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute, Albert Dickner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Rodney Jobson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Rodney Jobson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Booker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute Iain Cadwallader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Booker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jack Beard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Booker having to interfere. After 79 minutes of play, Chelsea F.C.'s Rodney Jobson made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Booker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodney Jobson in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Latchingdon FC's zone, Iain Cadwallader stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Booker came out of the goal and Iain Cadwallader tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Chelsea F.C.'s Jack Beard in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Latchingdon FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Jack Beard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th match minute, Chelsea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Vassell to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Chelsea F.C. defense, Luke Grainger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ed Sharpe. The Chelsea F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ed Sharpe should have stopped the shot. The Latchingdon FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chelsea F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
