The tension between the Musselburgh FC and the Middlesbrough United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Musselburgh FC's Rio Searle got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Fausto Travassos struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Danny Dryden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Musselburgh FC. Fausto Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Dryden having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Fausto Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Musselburgh FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Travassos scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danny Dryden, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Middlesbrough United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Musselburgh FC:s goal. The referee gave Musselburgh FC a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fausto Travassos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Middlesbrough United's Danny Dryden. 0-2. Dennis Orruma was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Richie Street showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 21 minute of play. Danny Dryden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vince Brady in the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Middlesbrough United's zone, Fausto Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Dryden came out of the goal and Fausto Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Musselburgh FC's Frankie McRobbie got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Richie Street's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Orruma was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 37th minute Richie Street shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Orruma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Middlesbrough United's Crispin Hardwick got a free kick in the 38th minute. Danny Dryden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Middlesbrough United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zane Dyson to maneuver through the defense. Dennis Orruma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richie Street, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Dennis Orruma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richie Street, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Richie Street had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Travassos in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danny Dryden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 90 played minutes Middlesbrough United got a freekick which was hit by Zane Dyson. In the 94th minute Rob Moody shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Dryden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
