Ted Tyson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. James Harper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cliff Coleman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Donny Nelson kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Vernon Bridgewater was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daventry United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thatcham AFC the free kick. A collision led to Daventry United getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
