The crowd rose to their feet as Looe AFC's Denis Atkinson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marlon Case. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. A hard shot 28 in the game by Lawrence Hargreaves from a close distance when the talented Marlon Case managed to make a qualified save. Hindley AFC's players were relieved. When Denis Atkinson came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Looe AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Atkinson couldn't finish the play. Hindley AFC's Marlon Case played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Atkinson in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Atkinson in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marlon Case prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rod Rice kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a long run with the ball, Paddy Pitman did a trick in the 39th minute in front of Hindley AFC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-0. Marlon Case showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Atkinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.
