Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cliff Dixon took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cliff Dixon in the 10th minute of play forced cullen fc's goalkeeper Victor Panther to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Stefan Hampshire made a precise shot to the right of Ed Basham. Farnsfield AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Osbourn during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of cullen fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Farnsfield AFC:s goal. William Osbourn hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, cullen fc's goalkeeper Victor Panther had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Garry Titmus. After having played for 22 minutes, Stefan Hampshire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. cullen fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Hampshire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ed Basham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Hampshire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cliff Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. cullen fc's Harry Coombe got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ed Basham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Coombe in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, cullen fc's Victor Panther got control of the ball when Garry Titmus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harry Coombe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Hampshire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ed Basham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rodney Baum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Stefan Hampshire made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of cullen fc booed when Farnsfield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guy Mayfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ed Basham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Hampshire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind cullen fc's goalkeeper Victor Panther, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Coombe got free with Ed Basham in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Farnsfield AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Keith Ring hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the game, Stefan Hampshire recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ed Basham. Stefan Hampshire showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. A collision led to Farnsfield AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nathan Everard hit a great ball. Ed Basham was a little too slow when Stefan Hampshire got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Harry Coombe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Farnsfield AFC's zone, Harry Coombe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ed Basham came out of the goal and Harry Coombe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stefan Hampshire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Garry Titmus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Farnsfield AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. cullen fc's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
