Herbert Chojnacki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dion Courtney, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Herbert Chojnacki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dion Courtney in the 7th minute of play. Rex Peat was extremely unlucky when he, in the 7th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Herbert Chojnacki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dion Courtney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacob Drury during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Bristol Gas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Drury to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bristol Gas FC! Herbert Chojnacki had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Reg Bass's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Bristol Gas FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rhys Lester hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Bristol Gas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Garner-Currie came free, but Herbert Chojnacki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rex Peat came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Bristol Gas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rex Peat couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bristol Gas FC's Rex Peat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Larry Eyre. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rory Garner-Currie in the 42nd minute of play forced Bristol Gas FC's goalkeeper Herbert Chojnacki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve Renner walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

55 minutes into the match, Wanborough United's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Peat came free, but Larry Eyre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Bruce Titmus reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Herbert Chojnacki. The goal made the score 1-1. Rex Peat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Larry Eyre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rex Peat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bristol Gas FC's Jacob Drury got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Larry Eyre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Peat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steve Renner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Eyre having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Niall Crowell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Larry Eyre came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Bristol Gas FC's Rex Peat. But to his dismay, Rex Peat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Rex Peat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Larry Eyre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Peat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
