Larry Eyre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 15th minute, Dion Courtney made a precise shot to the right of Roy Lock. Kidderminster's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Bruce Titmus fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wanborough United's protests and gave Bruce Titmus a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Nathanial Hartley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rory Garner-Currie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Wanborough United's Larry Eyre got control of the ball when Calvin Childs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rory Garner-Currie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dion Courtney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Lock having to interfere. If Nathanial Hartley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute Dion Courtney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Lock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Calvin Childs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Kidderminster booed when Wanborough United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Webb didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dion Courtney was the one to do the kick off. Kidderminster's Calvin Childs got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Dion Courtney dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roy Lock, 1-2. Rory Garner-Currie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reg Bass was slow to take the kick. During this time Wanborough United's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Wanborough United's corner Reg Bass fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roy Lock quite easily take care of the ball. Calvin Childs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Eyre having to interfere. Rory Garner-Currie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Lock having to interfere. Roy Lock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dion Courtney in the 92nd minute of play. 98 minutes into the game, Kidderminster's Nathanial Hartley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
