Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Bodmin AFC's Jay Norton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tod Stride received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Bob McAleer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Stride in the 8th minute of play forced Bodmin AFC's goalkeeper Bob McAleer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Workington's Lennie Lewington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jay Norton in the 10th minute of play. If Jay Norton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lennie Lewington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay Norton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tod Stride fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob McAleer having to interfere. Deon Barone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lennie Lewington having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Norton in the 29th minute of play forced Workington's goalkeeper Lennie Lewington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jay Hogg during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jay Hogg kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Lennie Lewington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay Norton in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Workington's goal looked a bit too open when Jay Norton came free, but Lennie Lewington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Workington's Jay Hogg got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Jay Hogg off the ground. In the 42nd match minute, Workington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jay Hogg to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Workington's Lennie Lewington got control of the ball when Deon Barone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deon Barone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joshua Fitzsymon hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the match, Workington's Pierre Pearch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bob McAleer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Workington getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cody Starr hit a great ball. Lennie Lewington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay Norton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lennie Lewington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deon Barone, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Jay Norton, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 64 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lennie Lewington was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Workington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Button to maneuver through the defense. Workington's Tod Stride got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Pierre Pearch came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Workington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Pearch couldn't finish the play. Deon Barone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lennie Lewington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennie Lewington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Robinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Jay Norton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennie Lewington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Deon Barone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Jay Norton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Pearch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Bob McAleer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Pierre Pearch got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pierre Pearch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Bob McAleer made a huge save. After 89 played minutes Bodmin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mike Robinson. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
