In the 4th minute, Teddy Pascoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the game, Wagn Cornett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jeff Chalk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Bearsville FC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Bearsville FC's Wagn Cornett looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Derek Prendergast hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Jeff Chalk didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Bearsville FC's Wagn Cornett shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Jeff Chalk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Waltham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bearsville FC's Gary Weeks got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Ricky Higgins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Wagn Cornett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th match minute, diablo gdynia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frankie Parsons to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Wagn Cornett made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Wagn Cornett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bearsville FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wagn Cornett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeff Chalk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ricky Higgins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Ricky Higgins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Deon Peakman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The diablo gdynia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 68th minute, Malcolm Whitworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, diablo gdynia's goalkeeper Jeff Chalk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricky Higgins. After a defensive mix-up in diablo gdynia's zone, Ricky Higgins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Chalk came out of the goal and Ricky Higgins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Louis Holmes kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jasper Adamson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Jeff Chalk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bearsville FC. After having played for 78 minutes, Wagn Cornett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bearsville FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wagn Cornett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wagn Cornett got free with Jeff Chalk in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deon Peakman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Colin Kessler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bearsville FC played a much better game than diablo gdynia and deserved their victory. The diablo gdynia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
