In the 7thth minute of the game Mitch Jackson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lynton United's Rory Brough was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Rhys Teague sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Lambley skillfully saved the ball. Calvin Moorhouses short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Rory Brough to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Lynton United getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Grant Spencer hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Lynton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Ellerton to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Lynton United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Max Bowland fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Lynton United's goalkeeper Rory Brough had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Max Bowland. In the 33rd minute, Calvin Moorhouse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 2-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Mitch Jackson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ben Crouch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ben Crouch struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. David Lambley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lynton United.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mitch Jackson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rory Brough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitch Jackson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Finsbury Park booed when Lynton United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Ellerton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Lynton United defense, Mitch Jackson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rory Brough. The Lynton United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rory Brough should have stopped the shot. After 63 played minutes Lynton United got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Ellerton. Gaz Halford hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Finsbury Park's goal looked a bit too open when Rhys Teague came free, but David Lambley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Lynton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Whitworth to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes, Finsbury Park's Louie Lofthouse shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rory Brough came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Finsbury Park reached it. Rory Brough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Moorhouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When Jordan Bramhall fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Finsbury Park's protests and gave Jordan Bramhall a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Finsbury Park's Jordan Bramhall got a free kick in the 96th minute.
