The supporters of Willenhall United booed when Wisbech was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tod Macken didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Seth Harding fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jools Lovett, passed just outside the right post. Seth Harding could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Jools Lovett made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Hall in the 12th minute of play forced Willenhall United's goalkeeper Hayden Mawson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Willenhall United got a freekick which was hit by Zane Lemerond. Hayden Mawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rex Boxall, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Kieran Barnfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bobby Oates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The wind increased when Kieran Barnfield made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Bobby Oates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jools Lovett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Kieran Barnfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Willenhall United's supporters rose to their feet, but Kieran Barnfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jools Lovett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Bobby Oates notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Wisbech's Jools Lovett. Jools Lovett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jools Lovett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kieran Barnfield in the 63rd minute of the match. Bobby Oates might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jools Lovett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Kieran Barnfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Willenhall United's supporters rose to their feet, but Kieran Barnfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jools Lovett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rex Boxall in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hayden Mawson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute Bobby Oates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jools Lovett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seth Harding recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
