Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Freddie Fowler notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Flushing's Johnnie West. Johnnie West was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Johnnie West stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leon Tubbs's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Johnnie West successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. William Towler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Nash, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Flushing's Dale Nash nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. William Towler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Kempson in the 18th minute of play forced Guildford City FC's goalkeeper William Towler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Towler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huey Spink in the 22nd minute of play. Guildford City FC's William Towler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Bacon in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Leon Tubbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Carlton Barron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Cullen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johnnie West came out and tried to block the shot, but Tommy Cullen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute Freddie Fowler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnnie West saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddie Fowler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Johnnie West tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Flushing got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Kempson. If Freddie Fowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Leon Tubbs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guildford City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Tubbs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dale Nash to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Beinn Walton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnnie West. Flushing's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beinn Walton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Nash in the 59th minute of play forced Guildford City FC's goalkeeper William Towler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Towler made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Joe Bacon sent off a good shot on target. Freddie Fowler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Johnnie West tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Huey Spink got free with William Towler in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Johnnie West took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beinn Walton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Tubbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Flushing getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dominic Kempson hit a great ball. Freddie Fowler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnnie West having to interfere. Guildford City FC's Freddie Fowler got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Flushing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Phimister to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Guildford City FC's goalkeeper William Towler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joe Bacon. Beinn Walton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Flushing's goal looked a bit too open when Beinn Walton came free, but Johnnie West reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joe Bacon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but William Towler made a huge save. Beinn Walton scored 4-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnnie West, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. William Towler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Nash in the 91st minute of the match. Guildford City FC's William Towler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Guildford City FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Flushing getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Stuart Phimister hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Flushing players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Guildford City FC.
